Pastor and Staff
Pastor: Ken Martin
Pastor Ken Martin has been called as our Transitional Pastor. Ken has been involved in the Transitional Ministries the last seven years. He has also served as Senior Pastor in full time pastorates as well as bi-vocational in central and southeast Missouri. Pastor Ken attended Mineral Area College in Flat River (now Park Hills), Missouri as well as Midwest Seminary in Kansas City.
Ken's wife Carla has been employed by the Missouri State Convention for over 25 years. She is an Event Planner, Ministry Liaison, and Ministry Assistant to Spencer Hutson.
Pastor Ken and Carla live east of California, Missouri but are originally from Salem, Missouri where their full time ministry began. The Martin's son's family lives in Kansas City while their daughter's family lives in Springfield.
Pastor Ken will be on the church field from Sunday through Wednesday with tentative office hours of 9:00am-11:30am Monday through Wednesday. Feel free to stop by or call (660) 647-5624 for an appointment.
Worship Leader: Christine Micheals
In addition to being FBC's Worship Leader, Chris is the Band/Choir teacher at Windsor High School. She has been a part of the music program and the church choir for years. She is graciously serving here and is working to bring life and vitality to our worship services. Talk to Chris if you have ideas for our church worship services or if you would be willing to help with Sunday music.
Office Manager: Ed Micheals
Ed joined FBC staff early in 2018. Ed came down from the great north woods of Wisconsin to meet a girl and decided to stay. He has worked in the administrative field in the past and is looking forward to serving the church. It is his job to make sure the church runs smoothly and is kept informed. Don't hesitate to call for information or to give information. Ed's hours are 9am-4pm with 30 minutes off at 12:15pm.
Custodian/Maintenance: Bob Hinkleman
Bob works behind the scenes to keep FBC open, in good repair and clean. He and his wife, Melba, are active members at First Baptist, serving on multiple committees and teaching children in Sunday School. Bob also leads boys in the Royal Ambassadors on Wednesday evenings.
